2. Types of steel base colums 

Depending on design requirements, loading conditions, and project characteristics, Truong Thinh Corp provides four main types of steel base columns, fabricated from SS400, Q235, A36, and Q355/A572 steel, fully compliant with ASTM, EN, and TCVN standards. 2.1 Base plate type

2.2 Reinforced base type

4.1 Design stage

Truong Thinh engineers utilize Tekla Structures and SAP2000 software to simulate loads and installation conditions. All drawings undergo internal cross-checking to ensure consistency among design, fabrication, and erection phases. Every detail is validated against ASTM, EN, and TCVN codes, guaranteeing compliance with structural and safety requirements.

4.2 Fabrication and welding stage

Material processing is carried out entirely in-house using CNC Plasma cutting and automated welding lines. Welds meet HRC standards, inspected through non-destructive ultrasonic testing and tensile testing. All input steel is certified with CO/CQ documents, ensuring mechanical and chemical conformity before production.

4.3 Surface finishing and protection

After fabrication, surfaces are shot-blasted to Sa2.5 grade, removing rust and impurities. A zinc-rich epoxy primer (50–75 µm) is applied, followed by epoxy or polyurethane topcoats in gray, black, or white, achieving a total thickness of 100–120 µm. For outdoor or coastal projects, hot-dip galvanizing (60–80 µm) is applied, significantly enhancing oxidation and corrosion resistance, extending the product’s lifespan for decades.

Each product is assigned a unique QR code for full traceability of materials, dimensions, and quality certificates.

4. Transport, installation & handover

Finished components are securely packed, protected, and transported by certified vehicles (20–50 ton cranes, tractors). Truong Thinh’s site team supervises installation to ensure precise leveling, anchoring, and elevation per drawings.
