Cement Silo Construction – Vicem Hai Van Factory – Binh Dinh

Cement silo structures carry a load profile most building types never see: concentrated vertical dead weight from stored bulk material, cyclical filling and emptying stress, and dust and abrasion exposure that ordinary structural coatings aren’t specified for. At Vicem Hai Van Factory in Binh Dinh, Truong Thinh Corp fabricated and erected the silo’s steel structure to handle exactly this loading pattern — heavy-machinery-grade construction distinct from a standard warehouse or office frame.

Completed in 2012 across a 2,000 m² site, the project called for structural steel sized for sustained bulk-material load and connection detailing suited to a working cement plant environment, the same heavy-load principle behind our structural steel grade selection guide, where downtime for repair is costly and access for maintenance has to be designed in from the start.
